ISL 2015: Chennayin FC sign Brazilian defender Eder

first_imgIndian Super League (ISL) franchise Chennaiyin FC on Wednesday signed Brazilian central defender Eder Monteiro Fernandes for the second season of the tournament which commences from October 3.”Chennaiyin FC is delighted to announce the signing of Brazilian central defender Eder Monteiro Fernandes for the second season of the Indian Super League,” said a club release.Speaking about their new recruit, Chennaiyin FC manager Marco Materazzi said: “We are very happy to have signed Eder. He has immense experience having played in various leagues of Europe and will add plenty of quality and solidarity to our backline. Eder will also be a good guide for the Indian players and I have full faith in him.”Eder, who will turn 32 in September, was last playing for Nea Salamis Famagusta in the football league of Cyprus.
