EFE / Sport EN The Spanish High Court Judge, Eva María Alfageme Almena, has on Tuesday ruled on the Elche relegation case, confirming their demotion to La Segunda, which means Eibar, who finished last season in the bottom three, will remain in La Liga.  After a meeting on Monday with representatives from both teams, the LFP and the Sport’s Administration Tribunal (TAD), the judge has backed the decision originally made by the TAD on July 13.  The relegation came into place after Elche failed to convince the LFP of their ability to settle their tax bill at the end of last season. Elche reserve the right to appeal the decision within 15 days.  As well as those debts, a lack of clarity to the Valencian club’s financial planning was also among the reasons to send them down.
